The Friends of the Detroit Public Library used book and media sale will be at the main library (5201 Woodward) 2:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7. This is the day of Noel Night, a fantastic street party that stretches along Woodward in midtown. There are special events and opportunities for shopping until very late. Those festivities start in the evening; this sale starts in the afternoon.
Parking is available in the staff lot off Putnam all day Saturday.
It's a good sale. Lots of books, plus CDs, DVDs, and audio books. Books are always being added from storage, so there's usually still a lot to choose from.
