*POSITION:      *  Part-Time, Academic Resource Coordinator



*REPORTS TO:  *Director of Academic Resources



*MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:*

   - Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program
   preferred. Master’s degree required
   - Previous experience in teaching and/or tutoring required
   - High level of computer literacy and competent in Microsoft
   applications required
   - Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
   - Must have working knowledge of reference, library instruction, and
   technology based resources



*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*

   - Provide faculty and student (individually and in groups) with learning
   resources and technology services
   - Work with PALnet in the consortial environment and be familiar with
   consortial issues
   - Maintain the collection development process
   - Develop ways to promote technology and eBooks to faculty and students
   - Perform circulation, technical services, and interlibrary loan
   functions as needed
   - Participate in appropriate system and campus committees, sub
   committees, projects, and activities
   - Explore and evaluate emerging technologies that have potential value
   for teaching and learning
   - Other duties as assigned



*WORK SCHEDULE:     *Flexible schedule up to 28 hours per week

                                          Some evening and weekend hours
may be required.



*STARTING DATE:*        September 2, 2014



*COMPENSATION:*       Hourly rate based on education, experience, and
existing wage

                                          rates for similar positions at
Baker College.
