Michigan State University Professor and Urban scholar David Kirkland will talk about the real image of literacy amongst young black youth.

African American Authored Cookbooks
Curator of the American Culinary History Collection at the University of Michigan, JJ Jacobson will present on African American Cookbooks from her collection.

Carol Mull
Underground Railroad in Michigan
Author and founder of the Michigan Freedom Trail Commission, Carol Mull will talk about Michigan's roll in the path to freedom for hundreds of escapes slaves.
