Hello all,

A major component of MeL.org<http://mel.org/> resources that may be easy to overlook are the Subject Gateways found in the center of the MeL.org<http://mel.org/> homepage. You know that MeL consists of subscription Databases, resources for teachers in M.O.R.E, MeLCat, and Michigana. The other major components are the Subject Gateways – Kids<http://kids.mel.org/>, Teens<http://teens.mel.org/>, Business<http://mel.org/index.php?P=MeLGateways&ParentId=832>, Jobs<http://mel.org/index.php?P=MeLGateways&ParentId=425>, Government<http://mel.org/index.php?P=MeLGateways&ParentId=984>, Health<http://mel.org/index.php?P=MeLGateways&ParentId=842>, Legal<http://mel.org/index.php?P=MeLGateways&ParentId=952>, and Books & Literacy<http://mel.org/index.php?P=MeLGateways&ParentId=841> which contain carefully selected websites and other tools specific to the named subject. The Legal Gateway<http://mel.org/index.php?P=MeLGateways&ParentId=952>, for example, contains 13 classifications of topical information. Looking for answers to Common Michigan Legal Questions or Finding Legal Assistance or Starting Legal Research? Legal Gateway<http://mel.org/index.php?P=MeLGateways&ParentId=952> classifications list resources for finding these and more. The next time you and your patrons are looking for subject focused content, connect to the MeL Subject Gateways to begin your search. Michigan residents or Michigan library access only may apply to some resources.

MeL Minutes are brought to you by the Library of Michigan. Want more information on MeL? Stay tuned for next week’s MeL Minute available on many Michigan library listservs, email us at contact at mel.org<mailto:contact at mel.org> or visit Michigan.gov/mel<http://www.Michigan.gov/mel>. We encourage you to share MeL Minutes with your public service colleagues.
