The Michigan Library AssociationTechnologies & Trends work group is seeking proposals for presentations at the MLA’s 2015 Technologies and Trends workshop. This one-day event, on June 5, 2015, at Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Michigan, will attract a wide variety of library practitioners-- and is being keynoted by Michael Stephens, Library Journal columnist and creator of the Tame the Web blog. The work group is seeking proposals for sessions from public, academic, special, and school-library professionals and staff that will share new library technologies or introduce innovative ways libraries can use technology to be more effective and efficient. Possible topics could include but are not limited to updates on discovery systems, the library staff-IT relationship, technology for improving accessibility for people with disabilities, copyright, and responsive web design. Other technology-related ideas also are welcome. To submit a proposal, fill out the submission form at http://goo.gl/U3BCBL . The deadline is Friday, November 14. Questions? Contact Malcolm McBryde at jmcbryde at kvcc.edu , (269) 373-7867 , or Patrick Roth at rothpa at gvsu.edu , (616)-331-2615.
