FYI-
Two interesting upcoming programs:

Monday, October 27: Living Downstream: Film & Discussion. This award-winning documentary follows cancer survivor Sandra Steingraber to some of the most beautiful places in North America to bring attention to toxic chemicals in our environment. Learn how they migrate, and how they enter our bodies and once inside, may contribute to cancer formation. Maria Lyzen, President of the Michigan Breast Cancer Coalition, leads a follow-up discussion. Call 248-349-3020 or visit our website at www.northvillelibrary.org to register online at our Events Calendar.

Thursday, October 30: Healing Pets & Saving Vets. Pets for Vets assists returning soldiers by pairing them with a specially trained shelter animal who offers emotional support as these men and women transition back to civilian life. Laurie Carr, director of the East Michigan Chapter of Pets for Vets, talks about her organization and introduces us to a Veteran and his furry companion. Call 248-349-3020 to register or visit our website and register online.
