3rd Annual Skill Building Conference for Local Writers

The Public Library of Westland is proud to host its 3rd annual Skill Building Conference for Local Writers (SBCLW) on Saturday, May 9th from 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. This free program is open to all area writers looking to improve their fiction, poetry, and non-fiction skills, as well as provide a forum to learn about the publishing industry. Presenters for this conference include:

* Mike Ball, Erma Bombeck Award-winning author;
* Jennifer Burd, poet and author of creative non-fiction and children's stories;
* Pamela Gossiaux, freelance journalist and author of 2 inspirational books; and,
* Thomas Saunders, owner/operator of Glendower Media, winner of the 2012 Indie Excellence Award.
