Hello Everyone!

We hope you will be able to join us for the special joint SNAP Twitter chat with the SAA SNAP Roundtable <http://www2.archivists.org/groups/students-and-new-archives-professionals-snap-roundtable>!
It will take place on Thursday, December 3, at 8 PM ET and will be a wonderful opportunity to learn about records management from those engaged in this work, make some new connections, and even pose your own questions. Our goal is not only to introduce students to this field, but also to facilitate dialog and understanding among SNAPers and records management professionals of all experience levels.

We would like this chat to be as conversational as possible! SNAPers can engage in the chat by:

   - responding to main questions based on their own knowledge and
   experience
   - posing their own questions related to the main questions during the
   discussion
   - following up on others’ responses with their own thoughts and further
   questions

We welcome everyone to join or keep up with our chat using the #snaprt <https://twitter.com/hashtag/snaprt>hashtag on Twitter. The SNAP Roundtable Twitter account will pose main questions such as:

   - How is the work of records managers different from that of archivists
in various contexts, such as academia, government, and business?
   - What do records managers find most challenging about their work or
   this field?
   - What do records managers find most enjoyable and exciting about their
   own work or this field?
   - What conceptual knowledge and skills are important for students to
develop and how should they go about pursuing them?
   - What personal goals related to records management are #snaprt chatters
   pursuing?

If you would like to have your discussion topic included in this chat, please send it to @SNAP_Roundtable <https://twitter.com/SNAP_Roundtable> on Twitter, submit it through the anonymous form on the SNAP RT chat webpage <https://snaproundtable.wordpress.com/snap-rt-twitter-chat/> or e-mail it to ariadne.rehbein at gmail.com. Please see the SNAP RT chat webpage for more information about #snaprt Twitter chats.

***Please forgive cross-posting***

Dear colleagues,

First of all, I would like to say a big thank you to those who have responded so promptly to my survey. I sincerely appreciated your contribution, without which it would be impossible to have this study.

I understand how valuable your spare time is at this time of the year. I am hoping that you may be able to give about 20 minutes of your time to help me collect important information on cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) applications and records management by completing a short survey.

If you have not yet responded, I would like to urge you to complete the survey. I plan to end this survey next week, so I wanted to email everyone who has not responded to make sure you had a chance to participate.

Please click on the link below to go to the survey website (or copy and paste the survey link into your Internet browser).

Survey link: https://survey.ubc.ca/surveys/mphqcqhghxzbgnmx7gfzrp6pqwqnmd/records-creation-using-software-as-a-service/

The questionnaire will remain accessible for your input until December 10, 2015.

Thank you in advance for your kind help! Your responses are important!

Sincerely,
