[Michlib-l] RIDES issues-anyone else?

Over the last few months we have experienced multiple issues with RIDES
that we just can't seem to get cleared up. The driver was leaving a tote or
two at one of our branches on a regular bases.  It seems as if he doesn't
have enough room in his vehicle. It's been a few weeks since a tote was
left.  Now we are seeing materials that were packaged in dedicated boxes,
opened and thrown into the totes. This includes audio books and dvd's.  My
guess is that he doesn't have room for the boxes.  Since we are a PACK
library, we are very careful about following protocol.

Attached are a few pictures of what we are seeing.  The first picture shows
brand new books sent out from the main branch to the New Lothrop branch
tied in twine.  These were sent packaged with a correct label.

We have received a couple complaints from other libraries about their
materials being damaged, and we apologize if this has happened to you. We
are trying to get this situation corrected.
