Hello all,
Some of the highest in-demand professions today are in the health care field. As enrollments increase and students of all ages pursue certifications as well as degrees, the need for reliable and readily accessible resources and learning tools increases. In the MeL.org Health Gateway<http://mel.org/index.php?P=MeLGateways&ParentId=842>, several databases offer full text and peer-reviewed articles as well as content geared towards patient interests. Health and Wellness Resource Center<http://www.galesupport.com/migeoipcheck/migeoipcheck-gale.php?database=HWRC> includes journals, pamphlets, videos, and links to reputable health websites. A dictionary, health assessment tools, and a drugs and herbs search are available. Health Reference Center Academic<http://www.galesupport.com/migeoipcheck/migeoipcheck-gale.php?database=HRCA> provides access to nursing journals and personal health sources. Clinical reports and case studies are included. It certainly is in our own best interest to ensure that health professions students have access to quality materials since they may well be our caregivers in the future! Material contained in these resources is intended for informational purposes only. Michigan residents or Michigan library access only.
