ALA Membership
Libraries have transformed into dynamic centers for engagement, and it’s time to reintroduce them to our local communities. ALA, Stacie Ledden, Director of Innovations and Brand Strategy, Anythink Libraries, Colo. and the minds behind Outside the Lines: Libraries Reintroduced will host a free webinar from 1-2 p.m. CDT, Monday, July 13. Register for the webinar here !
Now in its second year, Outside the Lines (Sept. 13-19, 2015) is a global initiative demonstrating the creativity and innovation happening in libraries. Organizations around the world will participate in this weeklong celebration by engaging with their communities in new and exciting ways.
The webinar will allow librarians, library support staff and library supporters to connect, ask questions and learn best practices from last year’s participants. This interactive session will cover a variety of topics from how to identify relevant engagement for your community to rally your staff.
Speakers include: Stacie Ledden; Abby Carpenter, Adult Services Manager, Florence-Lauderdale Public Library, Ala.; Amber DeBerry, Director of Community Relations, Douglas County Libraries, Colo.; Kelli Johnson, Public Information Manager, High Plains Library District, Colo.; and Jacqueline Murphy, Senior Consultant for Public Libraries and Community Relations, Colorado State Library, Library Development.
Registration is mandatory, and limited to the first 100 participants who arrive in the virtual room. These webinars will be archived and accessible to ALA members.
