Hello all,

Did you know that included in the alphabetic list of MeL databases<http://mel.org/Databases> are some non-subscription resources?  We have included four that although freely available online are ones you might not be familiar with and contain great and useful information.  Here they are:

ERIC<http://www.eric.ed.gov/> (free version) is the U.S. Department of Education online collection of peer-reviewed resources and research. Education Resources Information Center was founded in 1964 and today increasingly includes full text content of education related materials.
FDSys<http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys> (Federal Digital System) is a component of the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) and provides online access to *authentic government information and documents.  Code of Federal Regulations, Presidential documents, Congressional records, Federal Register, United States Code, and much more is available to browse, search, access, download.  *authentic means digitally signed PDF documents.
OAIster<http://oaister.worldcat.org/> (free version) from OCLC (Online Computer Library Center, Inc.) WorldCat offers worldwide searching of digitized materials - archival material, downloadable archival and visual material, eBooks, and computer files.  Hidden gems are literally at your fingertips as evidenced by their tagline, "Find the pearls".
WorldCat<http://www.worldcat.org/> (free version) also from OCLC is the "world's largest network of library content and services." Search for physical items such as books, music CDs, documents, photos, and then locate a library near you that owns it.  Use any of their nine new mobile apps (both iPhone and Android) to search and locate items and libraries.

Enjoy!

Hello!

East Lansing Public Library is finished with our Geek the Library campaign.  We have geek materials leftover, including an "I Geek Engineering" retractable banner.  Is there anyone in Michigan who is currently using the Geek campaign and would like these materials?

Thanks
Jennifer
