Hello all,

Many of the MeL.org databases<http://mel.org/Databases> support education and learning at a variety of levels - Pre-K and early literacy to high school.  Educators, parents, library and school staff, and homeschoolers can find out how to use each database to its full potential by accessing resources the database vendors offer in each of their products - lesson plans, activity guides, study guides, blogs, case studies - they're all there.  Here are a few examples:  Opposing Viewpoints in Context<http://www.galesupport.com/migeoipcheck/migeoipcheck-gale.php?database=OVIC> offers Curriculum Standards at the state and national levels.   World Book Kids<http://www.worldbookonline.com/kids/home?subacct=O6106> has For Educators which includes Curriculum Correlations and Lesson Plans.  BookFlix<http://galesupport.com/migeoipcheck/migeoipcheck-scholastic.php> has Resources containing Using Paired Texts, Library Programs, Classroom Activities, Parent and Child, and Title Browse.  Kids InfoBits<http://www.galesupport.com/migeoipcheck/migeoipcheck-gale.php?database=ITKE> has Tools - Educator Resources which in addition to basics on searching and documents for teachers has tools for students providing help as they progress through the research process from choosing a topic to creating an outline and citing sources.  eBook K-8 Collection<http://galesupport.com/migeoipcheck/migeoipcheck-ebsco.php?database=EBK8> has a Study Aids & Language Learning category.  Having access to first class databases is important, knowing how to use them is critical and the built-in tools noted here can help users get the most from MeL.org databases.
