We are very happy to have New York Times bestselling author Steve Hamilton joining us for our first Warren Public Library Book and Author Luncheon!

Mr. Hamilton will be discussing his latest novel, The Second Life of Nick Mason<http://sbrb.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/wcv/search/results/?ln=en_US&q=second+life+of+nick+mason&rw=0>. After serving 5 years of a 25-to life prison sentence, Nick Mason is out of prison thanks to Darius Cole, an inmate who controls a vast criminal empire. There's one catch: anytime Cole calls Nick, he must carry out a task. Each task becomes more deadly eventually threatening those Nick holds dear. The Second Life of Nick Mason has already been optioned for a film<http://www.signature-reads.com/2015/08/steve-hamilton-second-life-of-nick-mason-hollywood/> and has received rave reviews, including:

  * [Second.Life.Nick.Mason.Hamilton] <http://sbrb.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/wcv/search/results/?ln=en_US&q=second+life+of+nick+mason&rw=0> "Hamilton surpasses himself with Mason, who inspires storytelling of the leanest, most gripping sort"- Kirkus Reviews (starred review)<https://www.kirkusreviews.com/book-reviews/steve-hamilton/second-life-of-nick-mason/>
  * "It moves like a bullet train, told in a deceptively simple, gin-clear prose that all but sucker punches the reader. One of his best." - Booklist (starred review)<http://www.booklistonline.com/The-Second-Life-of-Nick-Mason-Steve-Hamilton/pid=7954438>
  *   "Hamilton guns it...for a fast and furious ride" - Publisher's Weekly (starred review)<http://www.publishersweekly.com/978-0-399-57432-0>
  * "This book is the real-deal" - Stephen King
  * "A game changer. Nick Mason is one of the best main characters I've read in years."- Harlen Coben
  * "Hamilton once again reinvents himself and the genre with another wonderful character and story." - Michael Connelly
  * "Stunning. A gripping non-stop thriller." - Don Winslow, author of The Cartel and The Power of the Dog
