Lois, my library purchases a copy of Grant Station each year, usually inexpensively through Tech Soup. We unfortunately cannot publish the login information to our patrons, but we make grant research available via scheduled consultation with the director (me). I search for grants, brainstorm, and usually help write a draft purpose statement, then send them out with the information we come up with.

Surely that isn't the only library to offer such a service to the public. I've a teenaged boy in Port Huron and a nursing home in Lansing that could each benefit from this. Of course, being in the Michigan Humanities Council's Arts and Humanities touring directory, I recommended the mini-grant program, but would like to recommend more than just that. The nursing home is for profit, but in neither case is it likely they'll pay for a membership to GrantWatch.com. This is a resource worth traveling to access and could also benefit librarians willing to check such resources at a nearby center, so it's worth listing for all here. I tried prowling MEL without success. Suggestions?
