[Michlib-l] Tax Season @ MI Libraries

Good to know that we are all in the same boat :]

So far responses have varied from:  getting all taxes forms and instructions, including Michigan booklets to just getting federal instructions booklets.   Answers have been all over the map.

As for as, today we received just the 1040 instructions...still no forms for 1040 EZ and 1040.

It's been very confusing for our patrons, because usually by this time we have all forms and instructions that they need to get their taxes done.  We have been printing out a number of forms, but charging our normal fee of 15 cents a page.

Hello,
    Quick question on IRS tax forms...so far (as of February 8, 2016)  we have received the 1040A forms and instructions and the 1040EZ instructions (no forms)

Any idea on when the rest of the forms and instructions will be arriving?
What type of forms and instructions do other libraries have?

Two important tax season dates:

January 19, 2016 - The date the IRS and MI will start accepting tax returns

April 18, 2016 - The filing deadline for returns for IRS and MI (due to federal holiday.)

Still no word on when the IRS will start shipping forms & instructions.
