[Michlib-l] Final chance to see the Rare Books from the Remnant Trust, and the final panel discussion

This is the final week of public access to the
Remnant Trust rare book exhibit

"Literary Masterpieces: Sacred and Secular" at Lawrence Technological
University

 in Southfield Michigan.

It has been both interesting and enlightening to see and handle these
books, and the last two panel discussions were great; the upcoming one also
will be thought-provoking.

​The final public hours will be:


*Friday, January 22*
12 - 2 p.m.

*Saturday, January 23*
12–4 p.m.

*Sunday, January 24*
12–4 p.m.

*Tuesday, January 26*
12:30–2 p.m.

*Wednesday, January 27*

12:30–2 p.m.
*​AND*

​The final panel discussion will take place Thursday January 28 from 7:00
to 9:00 pm:

*Panel Discussion: “The Thucydides Trap: Is War Inevitable between the USA
and China?”*

Moderator:
Philip Vogt, associate professor of history and honors program director,
Lawrence Technological University

Panelists:
John Ciorciari, assistant professor and co-director of the International
Policy Center, Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, University of
Michigan
Yumin Sheng, associate professor, Department of Political Science, Wayne
State University​


​Come a bit early on Thursday night to view the book display and talk to
the docents before the panel discussion begins.

The book exhibit and panel is in the Gallery, in the UTLC Building off Ten
Mile Rd. entrance, west of Evergreen and M-10 (Northwestern Hwy.)
