[Michlib-l] iPad Mounts

We just bought these - but haven't got them out for the public yet. Another library recommended them and has used them for awhile.

Kensington SecureBack Rugged enclosures with a hand strap for patrons to just hold it in any position they choose. The ipad goes in these and you buy the separate Kensington click lock to hook the ipad in the enclosure to the desk. The other library also recommended the Zagg HD screen protectors which are pretty important for fingerprints and protection.

We were afraid a fixed mount would wreck the table - but also might not be in the right place for whoever wanted to use it.

My granddaughter loves holding it in her lap and using it - something she'd never be able to do if it was mounted.

Subject: [Michlib-l] iPad Mounts

Hello,
I'm looking into purchasing some new holders for the iPads we have available for patron use in the Youth Services area of our library. I'm wondering if anyone is using the Space iPad Flex iPad mount (https://www.maclocks.com/ipad-enclosure-ipad-mount-ipad-kiosk/space-flex-ipad-enclosure-ipad-mini-enclosure-flex-your-pad.html) or something similar with a flexible neck and locking enclosure. I haven't been able to find reviews online, and am hoping that someone in the library world has tested this (or a similar) mount. Please reply off list to my email, hudakemi at btpl.org<mailto:hudakemi at btpl.org>. Thanks in advance!
