[Michlib-l] Antique appraiser

We had an antique appraiser in today and we got into a discussion generated by one of our patrons about appraisers and dealers.  The gentleman we had is an appraiser and not a dealer.  

 

There are many reputable antique dealers out there.  When you’re booking an appraiser be cautious and ask good questions.

Dear Friends,

 

Does anyone know an antique appraiser who does appraising as a fundraiser for a library? We are looking for someone to do a fundraiser. We would charge the patron a reasonable fee per item (such as $5) and split it with the appraiser. Any suggestions are welcome.
