We just had our yearbooks scanned by OCI. They do only high school
yearbooks but they paid for the shipping cost to send and return the
materials. The digital copies came back on CD in a jpeg format. With
regards to the copyright I found this article very helpful:

Subject: [Michlib-l] Yearbook digitization
Hello All,
I am seeking information about copyright compliance on historic copies of
local public school yearbooks. If anyone out there in library land has had
their local yearbook collection digitized and hosted to a cloud so it is
accessible from the library website can you tell me how you obtained
permission and how did you figure out who to obtain permission from.
Thanks
