Did you miss the AASL/ESSA Saturday workshop?

Did you know that out of 3469 schools in MI only 8% have 1 full time School
Library Media Specialist.  That means 282 full time school librarians in
the whole state of MI who are dedicated to 1 building.

Michigan is one of only six states that has suffered a loss in reading
achievement.

There is a possibility of ESSA being able to change this dismal statistic!
Be informed.  Come to the MAME 17 workshop October 17 at Mercy High
School.  After school.

Lisa Kelley, Klaudia Janek and Michael French will sum up AASL's message.
Kathy Lester will share MAME's advocacy efforts at the state level.  You
don't want to miss this workshop!
