Jen Lancaster to visit Battle Creek​

Willard Library in Battle Creek will bring New York Times best-selling author Jen Lancaster to town at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Binda Performing Arts Center at Kellogg Community College. After a corporate layoff in 2001, down on her luck, and stuck selling off cars, jewelry, and designer purses, Jen launched a website to air her frustrations about unemployment. Her blog turned into her first book, "Bitter is the New Black," which became a best-seller. Since then she has written seven more memoirs and five novels. Lancaster, who even wears her pearls to work out, will entertain the audience with her hilarious adventures in everyday life. Her books will be available for purchase at the event, and she will be signing her books.
