Most percussion instruments are great for the kids. I use ukulele in my
storytimes. At the conclusion of storytime, I pass around a plastic uke for
the kids to strum (Kala Waterman). I had guitar lessons, but I am
self-taught on the ukulele.
I did see that Laurie Berkner has an online teacher licensing program, The
Music in Me.
