Job Specific Required Qualifications - Master’s degree in Library Science
(MLS) or Information Science. Demonstrated knowledge of evolving
information technology and digital content to include web design, online
databases, and vendor software, such as HTML, SerialsSolutions, and Digital
Commons. Ability to analyze and assess the usage and effectiveness of
electronic resources and technologies. Knowledge of methods for designing,
integrating, and improving digital services in support of library users.
Demonstrated experience utilizing strong human relations skills as well as
analytical and conceptual skills. Demonstrated effective interpersonal,
verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated flexibility and the
ability to work independently as well as in a team environment where
consultation, collaboration, and cooperation are essential. Willingness to
work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications - Experience with integrated library systems (ILS)
and Institutional Repository systems preferred.

Duties - Design, update, and maintain library digital initiatives and
social media including the Institutional Repository, web pages, LibGuides,
and Facebook/Twitter.  Support faculty in the scholarly communication
process, including Open Access, Copyright, Data Management and Publishing
initiatives. Collaborate with library staff and university faculty on the
development of digital technology and digital content. Analyze and assess
the usage and effectiveness of electronic resources and technologies.
Conduct hands-on leadership and training in the use of library electronic
databases and other technology. Assist with vendor pricing and licensing
agreements for digital content and databases. Prepare necessary
documentation and reports relating to digital collections. Collaborate and
serve as a member of the Reference Team by performing public services
duties at the reference desk. Instruct and assist library patrons in the
use of electronic resources and the application of digital content in
teaching, learning, and research.
