[Michlib-l] A Time When You Helped

Dear Librarians of Michigan-

I am preparing a workshop for this year's MLA Conference about how public
librarians can use information about safety net services to serve their
patrons and I'd like to hear about a time when you helped.

If you have ever:

   - Helped a patron in need by connecting them to a government or social
   service program in your community, OR
   - Helped a patron in need but learned later on that there was a great
   public or nonprofit resource that would have been just the ticket

please consider telling me about it. What was the patron's need, how did
you handle it, and what do you wish you would have known before you helped
them?
