Hello Everyone!

No matter what your school or library calls them, reading challenges are standard tools to motivate and educate. There's always a need for students to obtain recommendations for, and access to, books that fit particular criteria: read a genre you're not familiar with, an award winner, story set in a different country, nonfiction, etc. MeL databases can be of assistance with this activity. eBook K-8 Collection<http://galesupport.com/migeoipcheck/migeoipcheck-ebsco.php?database=EBK8> contains fiction and nonfiction books to read online and download for offline use. Browse categories or search for exactly what you want. With NoveList K-8 Plus<http://galesupport.com/migeoipcheck/migeoipcheck-ebsco.php?database=NOVEL> users can create reading lists by subject, age, story line, character, etc. and automatically "Check the MeLCat catalog for availability". Read reviews, find read-alikes, and learn about the author, too. Enjoy!

MeL databases are available to Michigan residents or Michigan library access only.
