[Michlib-l] Summer Reading Question

Hello Everyone,
  I'm just starting out as a Youth Librarian and taking over working on a
summer program that has already been somewhat laid out.  I am working
on the summer reading guidelines for kids.  I am wondering what you do for
the 3rd grade and up kids.   Do you count pages read or minutes read?  I'm
debating between the two, but wanted to get other's opinions.  Do you allow
audiobooks to count as reading time?
