[Michlib-l] Nontraditional collections

Hi Everyone, 

After some recent patron requests, we're considering creating some collections of nontraditional items, such as energy auditing devices. We are planning on getting more input from our community, but would like feedback from other libraries. 

If your library offers such a service, which items have been the most popular? Which items have been the most problematic? Have you had any expected difficulties or issues? Do you have any other advice?
