Hi Everyone,
I'm currently serving on the ALA Nominating Committee for the 2018 election. The Committee is soliciting nominees to run on the 2018 spring ballot for the offices of ALA President-elect and Councilor-at-large. If you're interested, I encourage you to review the press release that was issued in April. It includes information on what forms need to be completed and the deadline. (See below)
You can also take a look at the duties of the ALA President<http://www.ala.org/aboutala/sites/ala.org.aboutala/files/content/governance/alaelection/2009/2009election/presjobdescription.pdf> and Councilors<http://www.ala.org/aboutala/sites/ala.org.aboutala/files/content/governance/alaelection/2009/2009election/council_job_descript.pdf> for more information.
Feel free to contact me if you have additional questions.
Thanks,
Regina
