[Michlib-l] Linda S. Champion Scholarship

Good Morning, 


Last April we lost a leader, and passionate advocate of libraries with the passing of Linda S. Champion. Library folks in Macomb County will remember her most as the Director of the Macomb Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped from 1989-2000.  She was a good friend and mentor to many librarians, and to me as well. 

It is my honor to pass on the information about the scholarship that has been set up in her memory to help those who wish to pursue a career in Library Science.  Applications for the scholarship are being accepted by The Suburban Library Cooperative.  If you know of a student who could benefit from this scholarship please pass the information on to them.
