I don't have the answers to your specific questions but I wanted to comment that my kids love the audio books from the Hoopla digital collection at Detroit Public Library. A digital service may be another option.

Subject: [Michlib-l] YA Audio Books
Good morning,
If you have a YA Audio Book collection would you mind sharing some information with me?
What is your budget?
How well do they circulate?
Do you purchase CDs or Playaways or both?
Thank you!
Elisabeth
