[Michlib-l] MeL Minute: What the Stats Are Telling Us About eResource Use

Greetings Michigan Library Community,



[cid:image002.png at 01D48D36.A1886D10]We have usage statistics coming in for new and returning MeL resources and we thought you'd be interested in what your colleagues are taking advantage of in MeL!



First, a Top 10 list of retrievals for the first month for which we have numbers, October 2018:


1.      NoveList Plus and NoveList Plus K-8 (387,094)
2.      World Book Kids(354,927)
3.      AtoZ Databases (192,662)
4.      Academic Search Complete from ESBCO (181,359)
5.      Britannica School - all levels (167,735)

NoveList Plus<https://widgets.ebscohost.com/prod/customerspecific/mel/auth.php?database=ebscoprofile-novplus> was the #1 ask of Michigan library staff during the listening tour we conducted before the Request for Proposal was released. It's gratifying to know that we were able to deliver on this request and that it's seeing strong usage.



It's also a very positive sign that AtoZ Databases<http://widgets.ebscohost.com/prod/customerspecific/mel/auth.php?database=atoz>, MeL's new business resource, white pages, and criminal background search, has been adopted so quickly. If you haven't stopped by, take a moment to do so. We think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
