Library Director

Fulltime position, with some evenings andweekends required

SALARY: $35,000+ based on experience

LIBRARY HOURS: 11AM to 7PM, Monday thruThursday.   11AM to 6PM, Friday.  10AM to 2PM, Saturday

 JOB SUMMARY: 

·        Responsiblefor administrative duties of the Clinton Township Public Library, including thefollowing: 

·        Establishinglibrary methods and procedures.

·        Hiringand supervising library personnel.

·        Promotinglibrary services for all potential users including children and adults.

·        Administeringall library programs and services to meet community needs.

·        Recommendinglibrary policies.

·        Managinglibrary operations and selecting materials within budgetary guidelines.

·        Preparingthe annual budget and presenting it to the library board for approval.

·        Actingon the library board’s decisions and ensuring adherence to these decisions.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Fouryear college degree from an accredited university.

·        Motivated,creative and able to work independently.

·        Professionaland enthusiastic attitude for providing service to the community of the ClintonTownship Public Library.

·        Strongoral and written communication skills.

·        Meticulousattention to detail.

·        Abilityto establish and maintain relationships with the library board, community andemployees.

·        Broadknowledge base of electronics, computers, software applications and internetresources.
