[Michlib-l] Passive Programming

Hi All,
I double checked with Library Data Coordinator Joe Hamlin and the answer is that passive programming does not count for statistics. I’ve copied Joe here in case he has anything to add, but only active programming where a staff member, or presenter/performer provided by the library, can be included in your programming statistics as reported on the annual report/state aid application.
Thanks,
Cathy

Hi Cathy,
I was at the MI KidsLib Conference last week and during the Breakout session about passive programming we were discussing whether statistics from passive programs should be counted and reported to boards. I'm curious what the state requirement is for active vs. passive program statistics and at what point does a passive program become considered part of programming statistics?
Thanks,
Dacy Willard
