Movement is a child’s first language! Combine movement with stories,
songs, rhythms & rhymes to build the foundation for early literacy skills. Join
us for a full-body workshop that will have you planing creative & engaging
storytimes.
In support of healthy early child learning experiences and the ALA Every
Child Ready to Read initiative, song and story experts Jenifer Strauss and
Beverly Meyer will feature stories, songs, play, and movement in a
full-body workshop filled with interaction, engagement and “use-right-away”
storytime ideas. Participants will learn how to plan and execute a
well-balanced storytime that allows young patrons to be active and creative
with language. Song lyrics, stories and supporting research provided.
$10 WLC Members
$15 Non-Members
Location: Fredonia Township Hall – 8803 US Highway 27 S, Marshall, MI 49068
8:00 am Registration (continental breakfast & all the coffee)
8:30 am-11:30 am Workshop
11:30 am-1:00 pm Lunch (on your own)
