MiYouth!
The Library of Michigan has begun a new listserv specifically for public library staff who conduct children and teen programming and services. To sign-up go to: http://mail2.mcls.org/mailman/listinfo/miyouth I will be conducting polling, discussing youth services related topics, and announcing upcoming trainings and programs. I know there are a number of youth services staff not on Michlib-L, but they will want to sign-up for this new listserv! Please spread the word to anyone on your team in youth services.

A Universe of Stories
The 2019 “A Universe of Stories” manual<https://www.cslpreads.org/> is up and ShopCSLP<https://shopcslp.com/> is open! Please designate one employee in your library building to request a code. Again, please request just 1 code per library! Below are the steps to access the on-line manual.

  *   Go to: https://www.cslpreads.org/
You must have a CSLP login and password. If you are not registered on the CSLP website, please create an account by clicking on Login/Register in the upper right hand corner of the CSLP website<https://www.cslpreads.org/>.

  * Once you are logged into the site, hover over Proprietary Downloads located on the tool bar and click on Obtain 2019 Online Access Codes, located as the 2nd drop-down option when hovering.
  *   Choose your STATE.
  * Complete the request form (1 request per library building) with your: City, Library Name, first and last name, and e-mail address and then click the Submit button.
  * The 2019 manual access code will appear on your screen (please take note of it) and an e-mail confirmation will be sent to you. You should only share this code with those staff members in your building who have a CSLP website account.
  * Once you have the building access code, go back to the CSLP website Proprietary Downloads and click on: On-Line Manual Access. From here you will be able to see each of the four manuals to download or print any part you are researching. If you have any problems with accessing your manual, please contact the CSLP office at contact at cslpreads.org<mailto:contact at cslpreads.org> or by phone at: 866-657-8556.
I will be snail-mailing the prize catalogs along with a letter about summer reading soon, but I wanted to get you all started online asap. I do have a very limited number of manuals on USB, first come first serve. Print manuals<https://shopcslp.com/cslp/search/manual/A-Universe-of-Stories-Program-Manual-Clip-Art-on-Digital-Download-c_405541/> are available for purchase. (poster images inserted below!)
New 2019 hashtag for social media: #LibrariesLiftOff
Summer Reading Survey 2018 prize winner: Shelby Area District Library!
This project is made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

CSLP Survey
This survey is being conducted by the Statistics Committee of the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP). Our goal is to better understand how public library staff use and value CSLP membership and materials. For the purposes of this survey, we use the phrase “summer library program” in equivalence to summer reading program or summer learning program. This survey does not concern materials and promotions provided by CSLP partner organizations, such as Demco/Upstart.
