The Des Plaines Public Library in Des Plaines, Illinois (suburban Chicago) is looking for its next great Executive Director. This opportunity is open due to the retirement of the previous Executive Director.
 
This is a beautiful library known for its outstanding art collection, the generous and welcoming spirit of its staff, and its focus on serving all members of its diverse community. DPPL is conveniently located in downtown Des Plaines, where it enthusiastically embraces its role as an advocate, catalyst, and gathering place for the community.
 
Des Plaines, a thriving northwest suburban community, is home to more than 58,000 residents who enjoy good schools, a broad mix of retail businesses, abundant recreational opportunities, and easy access to the amenities of Chicago.
 
Salary $110,000/year or higher, negotiable based on experience.
