[Michlib-l] Michigan Activity Pass, Year 12

Good Morning, 

I wanted to share some great news with you this morning. The Library Network is pleased to announce that the Michigan Activity Pass (MAP) program [ http://www.plymouthrockets.com/michiganactivitypass/ | http://www.plymouthrockets.com/michiganactivitypass/ ] has been renewed for 2019-2020! MAP made its debut in Fall, 2007 as a metro Detroit program featuring public libraries in six counties, and approximately 25 museum partner destinations. Over the years the program has expanded to include every public library in the state of Michigan, and 440 cultural partner destinations. 

For 2019-2020 we are working with Michigan Department of Natural Resources to add six new destinations [ https://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,4570,7-350-79136_79236_80247---,00.html | https://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,4570,7-350-79136_79236_80247---,00.html ] to the MAP program. These are very popular attractions for families who have young children/grandchildren. We hope to have these six new destinations on line and running with MAP prior to the official renewal of the program on Memorial Day weekend. 

We are also working to add what we believe will be a top tier destination from the metro Detroit area. Look for more information concerning this, later this Summer. 

If you have cultural partner destinations in your service area that you believe would be a good fit for MAP, please reach out to them directly, or feel free to have them contact us. Library staff are out best recruiters when it comes to new MAP partner destinations.
