Good Afternoon -

Please submit your nominations for Michigan Humanities Awards before Wednesday, May 1, 2019.  Libraries, staff, community members and corporate sponsors are all eligible for these awards!

And we would love for you to attend - Join us in Lansing on Thursday, May 16th, and hear our special guest speaker Kerry Kennedy, daughter of Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Kennedy.

Details on our awards are below, but let me know if you have any questions - and send us your nominations ASAP!


As a crucial partner to humanities-based programs and events throughout Michigan, you are an important part of our First Michigan Humanities Awards - and our call for nominations!


*         Have you hosted outstanding humanities-based events?

*         Do you have that one person in your community whose contributions result in outstanding public humanities events and projects?

*         Is there a Corporate Champion who has made a lasting contribution to the cultural life of your community?

We are asking you to nominate these special individuals, groups and corporations for the First Michigan Humanities Awards. Nominations are being accepted until May 1, 2019.  Our simple online application will allow you to submit a nomination for all three types of awards.
