While the government is shut-down, the Library of Michigan is still circulating the NASA @ My Library<https://www.michigan.gov/libraryofmichigan/0,9264,7-381-88855_89743_89748---,00.html> kits thanks to support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. (Unfortunately, it does mean a delay for CSLP's special National Summer Reading Champion announcement...)

Due to very popular demand, the current kits at LM are all checked out through November, so we are in the process of duplicating more for circulation. But please don't let that stop you from participating! You might have the supplies on hand for a number of the activities, or decide to seek funding<https://www.michigan.gov/libraryofmichigan/0,9327,7-381-88855_89739---,00.html> to duplicate the kits for your own library. NASA & Space Science Institute have given us permission to share the notebooks directly with public libraries in Michigan:

Manual for Kit 2: Be A NASA Detective - https://drive.google.com/open?id=1y49WJ4d_FIKI7cl_qwsf7f7Ria58WWXJ
Additional Space STEM activities can be found on StarNet's site - http://clearinghouse.starnetlibraries.org/

Please remember to complete the following surveys if you are presenting any of the NASA @ My Library programming. Honoring these surveys helps Space Science Institute continue to grow their partnership with public libraries and secure funding for new NASA @ My Library programming.

Save the date! Wednesday, February 20th at 2:30pm NASA and Space Science Institute will be presenting a webinar featuring NASA's Night Sky Network and their Solar System Ambassadors. Details coming soon!

What is NASA @ My Library - Public and state libraries are working to increase and enhance STEM learning opportunities for millions of library patrons nationwide, particularly those underserved in STEM education. The project helps participating libraries engage public audiences in informal, lifelong learning experiences. NASA@ My Library team members include fourteen State Library Agencies, the American Library Association, the Space Science Institute's National Center for Interactive Learning, the Pacific Science Center, Cornerstones of Science, and the Education Development Center.

Thank you,
