The MMLC Board has authorized me to announce the selection of Eric Palmer as the new MMLC Director.  Please see information below:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Mideastern Michigan Library Cooperative Names New Director

The Mideastern Michigan Library Cooperative (MMLC) Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that they have chosen a new Director.  Eric W. Palmer will begin his new duties on October 1, 2019.  He replaces Denise Hooks, current MMLC Director, who is retiring after ten years in the position.

Eric has a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University and a Master of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University.  He comes to MMLC with significant experience in library and bookstore management.  He began his career at B. Dalton and Barnes & Noble Booksellers.  In 2004, Eric was chosen as the Library Director at the Baker College Library, Flint.  He became the Head Librarian at Northwood University in 2015.  During his tenure at Baker College, Eric served on the MMLC Board from 2012-14 as the academic/special libraries representative.  While at Northwood, he has served as the Head of the Administrative Council for the Valley Library Consortium.  Eric has been highly effective in all of those roles and will be an asset to the members of MMLC.
