Lansing Community College Library is seeking to hire a full time Admin - Manager of Technical Services and Systems to join our team. Individuals who are collaborative, student centered and possess excellent customer service skills are encouraged to apply.

The Manager of Technical Services and Systems provides overall management, supervision, and coordination of several technical services functions of the library including acquisitions, cataloging, physical processing, journals/serials management, resource sharing, and interlibrary loan services. Ths I position collaborates with the Electronic Resources Management Librarian on database and electronic resource maintenance. Further, the Manager of Technical Services and Systems provides overall coordination and leadership in collection development and management activities, including planning and evaluation of library materials in all formats. The position oversees the daily functions of the Technical Services and Systems Unit and assumes a vital role in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, goal setting, coordination and leading of cross-functional project teams, optimizing and streamlining workflows to enhance the services and operations of the Library.

Required

  *   MLIS (Master's in Library or Information Science) or equivalent degree from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited program and regionally accredited institution.
  *   1 years' experience in the administration of integrated library system, preferably Innovative Interfaces Inc.
  *   2 years' recent experience with an integrated library system.
  *   2 years' experience in library technical services (acquisitions, cataloging, serials) in an automated library system environment.
  *   Experience with the administration of web-scale discovery systems, preferably Summon.
  *   Supervisory experience.

Preferred

  *   Experience with loading and exporting multiple record types in an automated library system.
  *   Ability to work across multiple computer systems, platforms and technologies.
  *   Ability to work in a collegial, dynamic, and progressive team environment.
  *   Knowledge of existing and emerging library technologies.
  *   Experience working with library vendors and partners.
