Dear Fellow Library Staff,
Were you ever thrown into the deep end when it came to designing or enacting library programming or classes? Are you a library associate who is expected to create programs, but you’ve never received formal training?
Our Ohio ILEAD<https://library.ohio.gov/services-for-libraries/training-and-professional-development/ilead-usa-ohio/> group is creating a website where everyone can go to download free forms and guides, provided by libraries such as yours, on how to create and run library programs and classes. Would you be willing to share your library’s (or your personal) worksheet, checklist, form, or tool that you use to guide employees through the process of creating and producing a library program? The materials will be credited to your library (or if you want, you personally) and made available for free download on the site. These materials would be organized into type and made available on www.libraryprogramhelper.org<http://www.libraryprogramhelper.org/>. It will go live in a few weeks as we gather content. Another email will go out when the site goes live.
Many of us know that feeling of not knowing where to start with programs or what all is required to make it a success. Please lend your support and help out library staff that are new to program creation by sharing your materials and tools.
If you are interested, please send PDFs or Docs to libraryprogramhelper at gmail.com<mailto:libraryprogramhelper at gmail.com>. Thank you for your time and attention.
Sincerely,
Jessica Curtis
