Curriculum Resources Available on MeL.org
The Library of Michigan is excited to share information about a new support section available in the Educators area on MeL.org! This section, called Curriculum Resources<https://gcc01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fmel.org%2Fcurriculum-resources&data=02%7C01%7CLancasterC5%40michigan.gov%7C25d5a2ba798b48717dfc08d6f8bb4b72%7Cd5fb7087377742ad966a892ef47225d1%7C0%7C0%7C636969881345981695&sdata=fOwbYEO2yoWDRrF96473w7gQ0hIsieUhGddQGf%2Fq%2BT8%3D&reserved=0>, sorts the MeL eResources by grade and subject. Each eResource has a page of support materials for that eResource which assists with customization at the local level. This includes:

* Instructions to add eResources to your own site

*       Buttons for each eResource

* Two types of links: Direct URL and Geo-IP URL

* Where available from the vendors, links to downloadable promotional materials which can range from PDFs of flyers and bookmarks to embeddable videos.
To access these eResources for educators, go to www.MeL.org<https://gcc01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mel.org%2F&data=02%7C01%7CLancasterC5%40michigan.gov%7C25d5a2ba798b48717dfc08d6f8bb4b72%7Cd5fb7087377742ad966a892ef47225d1%7C0%7C0%7C636969881345991703&sdata=fvKMWUXvzZb%2FhzCRTN5gFy07gG52RH1F6IJ5kAFbkIo%3D&reserved=0> ... choose "Educators" then choose "Curriculum Resources."

Accessing magazines, newspapers and more via MeL.org<https://www.mel.org/welcome>!

  * From MeL.org<https://www.mel.org/welcome>, click on eJournals in the upper most blue bar.
  * In the search box type the title you seek, such as "New York Times."
  * It should be the first result - click on the name of the periodical you searched,
  * Select the date of the periodical you'd like to read! You can also access select magazines as full view PDFs.

Be Internet Awesome<https://beinternetawesome.withgoogle.com/en_us/educators>
The Be Internet Awesome curriculum gives educators the tools and methods they need to teach digital safety fundamentals. The materials developed by Google in partnership with iKeepSafe enable educators to bring the most critical teachings-and the excitement of Interland-into the classroom. Included in the curriculum are lesson plans for the five topics, with activities and worksheets that were designed to complement Interland.

Happy Summer Reading!
