As part of the monthly Library Law Spotlight Webinar series, Wednesday, Sertember 25, 2019 @ 10:30am There will be a FREE 45 minute webinar discussing Library Establishment Laws, how they affects public libraries, and ways to discover a library's establishment.

What's your library's establishment & why does it matter? Uncovering your library's genealogy.

Many Michigan public libraries were established so long ago that their exact establishment is cloudy. This webinar will discuss why knowing your library's true legal establishment is important. We will also outline resources available for researching and possibly discovering you library's history and establishment.

Participants can expect to learn:


  *   The different library establishment types.
  *   Why knowing a library's establishment law is important.
  *   Options available for discovering a library's establishment type.
