On Friday at join Gigabit Libraries at 11:00 AM Eastern for another webinar as part of their "What is a Library if the Building is Closed" series.

Facts and Fiction around 5G, the Outlook for WiFi 6 and Community Networking. How do they fit together to expand public access, resilience and infrastructure?
Will these two new additions to the alphabet soup of telecom acronyms, 5G & 6E, change the way libraries might do business today and tomorrow? What role do libraries play in creation of community networks?

Martha Suarez, President of the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance joins Jane Coffin, Senior VP of the Internet Society to give a wide view of critical components in creating comprehensive solutions to the connectivity gap.

Radio technology innovations leap forward squeezing ever more bandwidth out of limited spectrum. With all the hype around 5G, what is it actually? How might it effect general connectivity levels. Can it be a new tool to help under and unserved communities connect themselves? What impact might we expect from the imminent release of WiFi 6? As traditional WiFi in the 2.4 and 5GHz bands gets chocked with overuse, will so called "6E" alleviate this congestion?
