[Michlib-l] Scaling back reopening or closing?

We have a situation in Elk Rapids. One of my staff called this morning
saying he spent yesterday afternoon in the ER and was tested for Covid-19.
He won't know the results for 2 to 10 days. The Health Department says we
can stay open until we know for sure he has it. My gut says shut it down.
We just started letting the public in this week. I'm closing for the
weekend and hoping he can get an answer before Monday. Then I will
reevaluate. I'm curious what others would do. I don't want to act
hysterically, but I want to err on the side of caution. I think I
understand why we can't get control of this pandemic. They could have given
him a rapid test and known immediately if he has it, but because he wasn't
sick enough to be admitted they wouldn't. That is absurd in my opinion. So
the official advice is he may have it, and if he does everyone he worked
with this week was exposed, but continue business as usual until we know,
potentially exposing many more people to the virus.

Thanks.
Nannette
