Good morning,

The Southeastern Michigan League of Libraries (SEMLOL
<http://www.semlol.org/index.php>) Executive Board is seeking candidates
for an open board position. Serving on the SEMLOL Executive Board is a
relatively low-commitment way to get involved in library service. We are
responsible for hosting Fall and Spring membership meetings and the
Executive Board meets monthly throughout the academic year. The majority
of the board meetings are conducted via conference call with the exception
of approximately 4 in-person meetings.

Nominations are now being accepted for:

   -

   Chair-Elect - 1 open position with a 2-year term (May 2020-May 2022)
   -

The Chair-Elect serves for two years, the first as Chair-Elect and
the second as Chair. Primary duties of Chair-Elect include supporting the
Chair in planning and executing the Spring and Fall membership meetings.
Primary duties of the Chair include facilitating Executive Board
meetings.

If you are interested in being a candidate for election to the SEMLOL
Executive Board, please submit your name by email to semlol.board at gmail.com
on or before March, 18, 2020.

Nominees should have the approval of their library director or dean and
should be able to commit to a monthly schedule of meetings for the duration
of their elected term. Public and academic librarians are encouraged to
apply; early career librarians are also encouraged!

Voting or approval of the new board members for the above positions will
take place at the annual SEMLOL Spring Meeting on March 27, 2020, 1-4pm at
Madonna University in Livonia. Candidates are not required to be present at
this meeting. If you have any questions, please contact Holly Sorscher (
hvs at umich.edu), Chair.

Sincerely,

Holly Sorscher

Chair
