The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) has partnered with Netflix in support of Bookmarks: Celebrating Black Voices, a collection of 12 episodes featuring prominent Black celebrities and artists reading children's books from Black authors.
As part of the Bookmarks project, ALSC also shared its #LooktoLibraries resources to encourage families to explore the power of connecting with children’s library professionals. The Look to Libraries materials were created to help families navigate life during the pandemic and include tip sheets for families on a range of topics. Read more<https://bit.ly/31OnAXL>

Through a special offering of its Inspire Collection Development Grant, made possible through the generous support of Marina “Marney” Welmers, the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) will offer grants to specifically address collection loss and remote access requirements due to COVID-19 school closures. The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) is partnering with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation on its Project THRIVE. Project THRIVE is a multi-year national campaign to create more equitable, inclusive support systems and help families and youth-serving professionals become better equipped to affirm, support, and care for LGBTQ youth.
“AASL’s partnership with Project THRIVE demonstrates the association's commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion,” said AASL President Kathy Carroll. “I am thrilled we have the opportunity to work with Project THRIVE to support LGBTQ young people in our learning communities.
