The Dorr Township Library is searching for a motivated and qualified candidate to fill the role of Library Assistant. Those with experience in children's or youth services are encouraged to apply. Please feel free to share to all who may be interested. 




Position: Library Assistant 

Qualifications: Positive public service orientation- must have ability to work pleasantly with the public. Be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience working and interacting with children. Knowledge of and experience with computers. Dependable work habits; attention to detail; ability to work quickly and accurately; reliability, flexible scheduling. Preferred: Knowledge of word processing software programs. Cataloging and acquisition experience preferred. Prior library experience preferred. An associates degree is preferred. Those with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Library Science with emphasis on youth services, or similar field are encouraged to apply. We are looking to work this role into a youth services role. 




Pay rate: $9.65 per hour
